T+1 impacts through the trade journey, pt 1: getting ready to trade

Research has suggested that Europe’s transition to faster settlement will cost European custodians several times more than their US counterparts. This isn't surprising, considering the EU's complex market. Unlike the US, where all settlement is done through the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the presence of multiple venues for settlement in the EU creates a much more challenging landscape. This session discusses how European market participants can prepare for a T+1 world.
