ESMAs Call for Evidence on the ‘simplification of financial transaction reporting’ has the potential to transform the EU transaction reporting framework. This paper includes several proposals aimed at reducing the burden of reporting for the industry, while maintaining robust regulatory oversight. This also comes during a period of rewrites to derivative reporting rules across multiple jurisdictions.
The panellists will explore some of the key proposals made within the Call for Evidence, where the most significant cost reductions could be realised, and what challenges may need to be addressed to achieve the benefits. They will also consider how digital innovations align with the aims to bring greater efficiently and accuracy to regulatory reporting, with particular focus on ISDA’s Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR) initiative leveraging the Common Domain Model (CDM).

Adding a session to your personal schedule does not commit you to attend (except for the dinner or exclusive sessions where very clearly communicated). Conversely, it does not guarantee your seat, so come in good time where you suspect a full room.
